At ScribbleWiki our base code is open source MediaWiki, although we have done quite a few modifications we still benefit from Extensions and other updates to MediaWiki created by the community. ScribbleWiki has created an extension to connect to Automattic's Akismet to combat wiki spam.

Currently it only checks if the edit is spam and either allows or denys it, we are working on a Wordpressish administrative area that could allow you to look at edits that were denied by Akismet that a Sysop could identify that the edit was not spam and report that back to Akismet.

The extensions is released under the GPL.
